Self Employment to Home Based Employment-
It's Been a Long Trip

 Twenty five years. That sure sounds like a long time to get somewhere yet that is how long it took me to find the internet and the home employment industry. What a long, strange trip it's been, but one that I am glad to have made.

 It all started in 1982 when I decided to move to Austin, Texas. There were no jobs where I was living and the unemployment benefits had run out. I heard Austin was booming so off I went. 3 months later I joined the ranks of the self employed, sub contracting floor covering installation work.

 Twenty five years of that and other physically demanding work finally broke the camels' back. Literally. Unfortunately I became unable to work due to serious back injuries. While recuperating from surgery I had plenty of time to think about what I was going to do with my life and how I was going to earn a living. Somehow this got me thinking about the past, and that is when I realized something interesting.

 Most of us from the old school were actually encouraged when we were children to be self employed. You know what I am talking about. Mowing lawns, operating a lemonade stand, selling your valuable collection of stuff (junk) in the driveway and calling it a garage sale!

 These were the 'entrepreneur ideas' a lot of us were taught as a kid, yet few if any of us realized that they could become the home employment opportunities of the future. But now thanks to the internet you can take that knowledge from the past and turn it into a thriving home based business.

Great I thought, now I know what to do. I'll work at home on the internet. But wait, first I had to learn how to use a computer! OK, that's done, now I have to find the right opportunity for me.

After much surfing, many trials, and numerous errors, I came across what I now consider to be the best work at home opportunity on the market. It's called Top Online Profits.

 Top Online Profits or TOPS for short, was started by Erich Winnecke, a highly respected and well known internet entrepreneur. Not only did Erich give me a website with 5 income streams already built in for free, he also gave me the chance to learn how to build and maintain a website of my own. Of course I took him up on the offer, who wouldn't?

 I can honestly say this was one of the best decisions I ever made. The amount of information, advice, and support that I received from Top Online Profits and the group of amazing people associated with this program far exceeds anything else I have seen in the work at home industry.

 Now that I have one profitable website, what's next? Well I have lots of ideas for 2008 and that is the great thing about the home employment field. The more ideas you come up with, the more money you stand to make.

 If I were to offer advice to anyone who wants to work from home, it would be to never give up. No matter where you are in life it's not too late to make a change. Financial freedom is just around the corner and home employment is the way to find it.
